This is always a wonderful Cam2cam opportunity for fellowship and service to the community. Volunteers will receive a free race t-shirt and a free ticket to the post-race concert held at Bridgestone Arena, headlined this year by country star John Rich.

Sandra’s farm is located at 8359 Horton Highway. It is behind a commercial building/gas station-garage. If you get to the split of 31A and 41A, you have gone too far!

Affirm
Affirm is a five-day youth event of faith, fellowship, and friends sponsored by the ELCA Southeastern Synod. Grounded in Scripture, the event offers youth the opportunity to develop the ministry/life skills that allow each individual to know and live out God’s affirming touch in Jesus Christ. The theme for this years event is “All are Welcome.” At AFFIRM we hope to learn more about what that means in our daily lives.

Missing out on the fun
I’m so excited that I get to go take some much needed time off and relax in Texas, but I’m seriously bummed that I’ll be missing the Country Music Marathon water station this year. It was so much fun last year and completely worth waking up at 3 in the morning.I know it may not be so thrilling to have to meet at the church at 4:30, but it takes time to get everything set up and before you know it there are runners headed your way.Last year, we had a group of Peter’s students from East Academy there helping us and their excitement at the first runners was a joy to see.
