Joint rehearsal for our performance of Fauré's Requiem.
on July 20, he will resume wednesday evening rehearsals for the Faure.
He is requesting that singers from First lutheran and the cathedral attend as many rehearsals as they can, but that you attend AT LEAST two wednesday night rehearsals.
Rehearsals begin at 7 PM, and will last about 90 minutes.
Music City Community Chorus performance

The Music City Community Chorus performs at First Lutheran, on Wednesday, May 20th, at 7:00 PM. Enjoy a delightful musical event! The Music City Community Chorus, under the direction of internationally-renowned vocal coach and conductor Renee Grant-Williams, will perform selections from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Mass in C Minor.
It's a sneak preview of their big Spring Concert in June. Our own Clé Holly sings with MCC, so come out and show your support. You'll enjoy some top-notch music.
Messiah Cheat Tracks
Just for future reference, here's the page with the Messiah cheat tracks that Mark e-mailed about a few weeks ago.
Those tracks are slowed down and have MIDI accompaniment. The ones I bought at the iTunes store (by Transform Studios) are regular-tempo and have orchestral accompaniment.
December 2
Choir will begin rehearsal at 10:00 in the choir room.
There will be a rehearsal after the service.
We are also going to begin Wednesday evening rehearsals during Advent.
The wednesday night schedule will be:
6:00 Congregational dinner
7:00 Advent service in the chapel
7:30-8:45 Rehearsal
REMINDER: On December 9, we are having another "Praise and Worship" at both services. You are encouraged to attend the 8:15 service as well as the 10:30 to help lead the music.
November 18 and 25 Choir schedule
On the 18th and 25th, please be in the sanctuary ready to sing at 9:50.
We will not have a rehearsal after service on the 18th, but will rehearse on the 25th.
Nov. 4 Choir Schedule
10:00 Rehearsal in choir room
11:45 - 1:00 Rehearsal in choir room for Vespers service
1:00 - 2:00 Lunch for choir. We are providing pizza and salad. Some of the pizzas will not have meat.
1:00 - 2:00 Rehearse with strings in the nave. Musicians, if you want to eat, do so before 1:00.
1:30 Add Ben Hurt to the rehearsal.
2:00 - 3:00 Choir and musicians rehearse in the nave.
3:30 Pre service music starts
4:00 - 5:00 Vespers Service
