Nashville Flood

We're here we're a community, and we're here to get us all through this.

Some of our members are in bad shape and need our help.

Lord knows our communities need all of our help. And prayers. Lord knows everybody needs prayers.

We're pulling together a more organized response, but in the meantime, we need your input. Please comment below on how we can best respond to this crisis. What do you think we should do? What do you think we should know?

What follows is a list of links that may be useful. They're mostly links compiled by other sources, so all caveats apply, but these people are on it:

Haiti Earthquake Relief

We are all praying for our brothers and sisters in Haiti, but we know they need more than prayer. If you want to know what they're up against, read this article from UN blogger Mark Leon Goldberg.

I've compiled some links to information and charities I think you should consider. What follows in no way represents the opinion of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, etc.

The Lutheran World Federation headquarters in Haiti were untouched by the earthquake, so their staff is on the ground right now providing relief. They've also been tapped to coordinate response from Protestant and Orthodox churches worldwide via Action by Churches Together (ACT). You can donate to their efforts online through this secure link, and 100% of your donation will go directly to relief efforts.

Spam Attack! And a solution.

We've been hit by some spambots in recent weeks, and they set up a lot of bogus user accounts. There was no damage done, aside from a blog comment and some emails sent through our contact form, which probably never made it to Aaron's inbox.

Messiah Cheat Tracks

Just for future reference, here's the page with the Messiah cheat tracks that Mark e-mailed about a few weeks ago.

Those tracks are slowed down and have MIDI accompaniment. The ones I bought at the iTunes store (by Transform Studios) are regular-tempo and have orchestral accompaniment.
