MONEY! Is there too much month left at the end of the money? 70 % of American’s live paycheck to paycheck regardless of income. First Lutheran Church will be offering Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University 13 week class to help you learn how to get control over your money and tell your money what to do. We want to help you stop struggling to make ends meet and change your family’s future (for the good). Classes begin on Wednesday, September 8th at 6:30 pm; cost will be only $50 per family for members. Please call the church office at 256-7580 and speak to Aaron to sign up.

YOUNG ADULT BREAKFAST & FELLOWSHIP Sep. 11 - Bring a breakfast dish to share and come for fellowship. Singles, Couples, and Married with young children are invited. Coffee, milk, and juice will be provided. Hope to see you in the Dining Room at 9:30 am Saturday, September 11 for fellowship breakfast. Sign up on the wall.

ANNUAL HABITAT PANCAKE BREAKFAST - Bob Evans Restaurant is once again providing a pancake breakfast as a fundraiser for the Habitat Unity Build. This will be held on Sept. 12th, 8:30am ~ 10:30am in the dining room. The funds from this breakfast will provide money to be contributed to the build from our church along with the cost of breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks the days of the build. Please come join in the fellowship and contribute toward providing a home for a family in need.

HABITAT UNITY BUILD in September. There are several dates to choose from ~ Sunday, Sept. 19, Saturday, Sept. 25 and Sunday, Sept. 26. The sign-up sheets are on the Outreach bulletin board across from the Gernert Room. Questions: call Susie Overton, 833-5669 or Sandra Hill, 972-4046

NEW CHOIR SEASON TO BEGIN SOON - That's right, the choir's summer recess is almost complete. The time is near to get our singers back in the classroom, as we begin practice for the 2010-011 season. (Sopranos, please no shooting spitballs at Mark like you did last year). Membership in the choir is open to anyone who likes to sing. No audition is required. The ability to read music is an asset, but not a requirement. Rehearsals are generally every Sunday after the 10:30 service. We have a need for more voices. Please consider adding your voice as we sing songs of praise. Getting a few new singers would be a great way to begin our year.
WHEN: September 12, there will be a rehearsal after the service.
Soloists will again present a selection during the service.
WHERE: The choir room below is downstairs, basically underneath the chapel.
If you have questions, please contact Mark Beall. Email :
