¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬
PRAYER CHAIN - For years First Lutheran has utilized the telephone to get word around about those in need of prayer. Last year we took the step into fast mass communication by starting an email Prayer Chain. With the touch of the SEND button, all those on the email prayer chain list instantly received an email with a request for prayer. Somehow we lost our good old telephone prayer chain. Here is the good news: Along with the email prayer chain, the telephone chain is back. Christy Biles

sends the emails and will make one call to Joan Cullum (phone 356-0505) and share the same prayer request for phone distribution. So if you do not have a computer, you can still be informed of request and pray. Call Joan to get on the telephone prayer chain list. Thanks Joan for rekindling this ministry arm.

NEW ADULT CLASS: “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law? 37And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as yourself.” (Mathew 22 36:39) How can you demonstrate your love of the Lord? How can you demonstrate your love of your neighbor? We are developing a Sunday school class that will explore these and many other issues related to Mathew 22 beginning on September 12th to October 17th in the education / conference room on the main floor. The class will begin at 9:30am till 10:10 am and educational materials will be made available to all participates. This class will be taking place of the “Wired Word discussion class”. Please RSVP to the Parish Administrator by August 31.

WE PROVIDE A NURSERY EACH SUNDAY FROM 8:00 AM – NOON. Child care is provided for children ages 4 and younger. Enjoy the nursery with our nursery attendants Ms. Megan, Ms. Frances, and other volunteers each Sunday. Please fill out a name tag each week for your child.
